“As part of this agreement, the company will implement projects via KSEBL of 64 MW for individual households with solar capacity ranging from 3 kW to 10 kW and 20 MW for residential projects / housing companies with capacity solar ranging from 11 kW to 100 kW. the company said in a statement.

Tata Power was recruited and won a contract worth Rs 400 cr from KSEBL on July 2 to develop a 64 MW solar roofing project for domestic consumers in all districts of Kerala, according to the statement.

The company was awarded this capacity in an offer announced by KSEBL in February 2021 under the “Soura Subsidy Scheme in Domestic Sector”, Kerala, in accordance with the phase II grant program of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

The project must be commissioned within three months of receiving an order from private customers. In addition to the roof, the company previously received an award letter from KSEBL on January 6, 2021, to develop a 110 MW solar project that is expected to generate around 274 million units (CU) of energy per year.

Upon completion of this project, it is expected to generate 120 UM of energy per year and will offset approximately 100 million kg of carbon dioxide annually.
