Sierra Nevada joins Drinkers for Ukraine with anti-Imperial IPA release and donation

CHICO, Calif. – Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. announced a beer release and Taproom menu item to benefit the International Committee of the Red Cross’ humanitarian relief effort for Ukraine. The brewery is joining a global effort called Drinkers for Ukraine which has invited brewers around the world to participate in solidarity brewing, benefiting the relief effort. Sierra Nevada has pledged to donate 100% of profits from the beer and the menu item.

Sierra Nevada’s unique take on the solidarity brew is a West Coast style IPA named RESIST Anti-Imperial IPA which is 7% ABV and 45 IBU. The beer is currently available on tap at the brewery’s Taproom in Chico, CA and the Torpedo Room in Berkeley, CA, and it will debut at the Taproom in Mills River, NC on June 9.

Favorable drinkers in some states can pre-order the beer in 8-packs of 16-ounce cans. Online beer orders will begin shipping from mid-June to early July.

In addition to the fundraising effort through the sale of RESIST Anti-Imperial IPA, a Ukrainian-inspired menu item called Hutsul Banosh will be available at the brewery’s tasting rooms in Chico, California Taproom and Mills River. , North Carolina, coinciding with the beer release in each location.
